Plagiarism is copying another's work or borrowing someone ele's original ideas.
Here are the 5 cases of Plagiarism in Philippines
First: Pia Cayetano Plagiarism Case
She is formally accused of plagiarism after an ethics complained was filed against her on Wednesday, November 21. In a text message to Rappler, Cayetano's office confirmed that it was filed by a certain Alberto Loquez Ong Jr. The senator will issue a statement later, her office said. Last week, an ethics complaint was filed against Sotto for alleged plagiarism in the course of debates on the Reproductive Health (RH) bill. Cayetano has aggressively pushed for the RH bill, while Sotto has opposed it.
Second: Sotto on Plagiarism allegations

Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto continued to deny allegations of plagiarism, almost six years after he was accused of copying from the late US Sen. Robert Kennedy for a speech. In an interview with Rappler, Sotto once again blamed reproductive health advocates for criticism he received back then.
Third: Bench accused on plagiarism by student

Bench traced the mistsake to a member of its visualo merchandising team. We don't condone plagiarism,' said Bench Liamzson. "When you hire somebody, an artist or a writer, you expect them to churn in original work, without having to check and recheck. The employee admitted that and he tendered his resignation, which he accepted,"confirmed Liamzon.

Fourth: Orange and Lemons plagiarism

"As a musician who can transcribe music note for note and having an idea about technicalities, I can confidently say they are two different songs," Orange and Lemons’ vocalist and guitarist Clem Castro told via text message when asked for clarification.Star Records’ Jamie Hipe admitted that the band may have been influenced by The Care but after studying both songs they resolved that each has its own identity. "We studied the two songs and concluded that they are two different songs. Orange and Lemons may have been influenced by The Care but no, they did not copy The Care’s song. Yes, they wrote the melody and used ‘Chandelier’ as their peg," stated Jamie of Star Records.

 Fifth: Manny V. PAngilinan plagiarism 

 In april 2010, businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan tendered his irrevocable resignation as a chair of ther Ateneo de MAnila University AdMu board of  trustees after it was found that portions of the commencement speeches that he delivered at the school's graduation rites in March that year were copied from the speeches of celebrities.
